Description
The AMP SARS-CoV-2 Ag rapid test is a chromatographic immunoassay for detecting the SARS-CoV-2 antigen in human sputum samples, as an aid in the rapid and efficient diagnosis of COVID-19. It detects the nucleocapsid protein antigen (N protein), so mutations of the spike protein do not affect the test. Manufacturer: AMEDA Labordiagnostik GmbH, Graz, Austria.
The test is intended for healthcare use; thanks to the simple procedure and non-invasive sample collection, the manufacturer's usability study also found it suitable for personal use by adults and children over 11, where the local health authorities permit self-testing. The result is available after 15 minutes (maximum 20).
Kit composition. Cassettes individually sealed, 20 tests per box: test cassette, desiccant (storage only), sterile swabs, extraction buffer, extraction tubes and dropper, tube holder.
