Description
The SARS-CoV-2 IgG/IgM rapid test is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in whole blood, serum and plasma, as an aid in the rapid and efficient diagnosis of COVID-19. Manufacturer: AMEDA Labordiagnostik GmbH, Graz, Austria.
The test is easy to use and can be performed outside a laboratory. The result is available within 10 minutes. Clinical studies compared with RT-PCR showed high sensitivity and specificity for both the IgG and the IgM test.
Kit composition. 25 sealed test pouches, each with a test cassette, a single-use pipette and a desiccant (storage only); buffer solution (1 bottle per 25 tests).

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from an antigen test?
An antibody test detects IgG/IgM antibodies in blood, i.e. the immune response, while antigen tests detect the virus antigen in a respiratory or saliva sample.
